Apart from the village of Falbrook, whose name was later changed to
Carnberwell, the creek Falbrook was also re-named Glennie's Creek after the
Glennie family of Dulwich. There were four Glennie men: Mr. H. Glennie
who owned Dulwich Homestead named after their home in England,
Dr.
J. Glennie, who practiced in Singleton and lived at Flowerbank,
Mr A. Glennie who had a grant of land at Patterson and later became a
m
inister of the Church of England and Rev. B. Glennie who came to Australia
with Bi
shop Tvrrell.

End of extract written by Lillian May Noble 1978.
